Overview
A flexible Unit Supervisor is required to cover the Middlesbrough area in various School Kitchens Acting up in the absence of Unit Supervisors in both Primary and Secondary school kitchens dependant on the needs of the service area.
To lead various teams of Catering Staff on a short and long term basis in the provision of Healthy Nutritious Meals in line with Food Based Standards.
Responsible for all activities within the service to include food production and associated paperwork. Experience of computer based systems is essential to this post, cashless payments systems experience is an advantage but not essential, carrying out staff training in various units, supporting Unit Supervisors in keeping systems up to date and in line with Council Procedures.
The post holder also covers functions in the area for Professional Development Days and special events.
The Area Supervisor and Assistant Development Officer will prioritise work on a daily basis dependant on the cover required.
You will be required to drive and will be paid mileage in accordance with Middlesbrough Councils Procedure’s.
Please note, you will be working 30 hours a week, term time only.

Salary: £26,421 – £27,803 pro rata
