We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Switchboard Operator to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a part time basis, contracted to 18 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, directing and assisting callers in an appropriate and professional manner consistent with their needs and which reflects the high standard of care and commitment provided by the Trust.
- To provide an efficient and effective service for responding to major incidents, emergency calls. Initiating the Trust procedures, ensuring correct personnel are contacted, and comprehensive records are maintained.
- Process information received from clinicians and Departments to ensure accurate 24-hour rotas are available to enable the provision of a fast, reliable on call and emergency service for all personnel.
- Provision of an internal bleep service, issuing and maintaining bleeps, ensuring identified personnel are contactable.
- As part of a Team ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained, keeping work areas clean and tidy, reporting faulty equipment, and completing incident reports where required.
- Participate in ongoing training and development in conjunction with the Departmental Manager and Supervisor.
