About the role
Cambridgeshire County Council is looking to appoint a Strategic Development Manager to join our Adult’s Commissioning Service and to support the development of our External Workforce Programme. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an established high performing commissioning division with an outstanding reputation for leading the way in Adult’s commissioning.
The role is available on a 12-month fixed term basis.
The post will be based in our offices at Alconbury/Huntingdon and we offer hybrid working, supported by flexible and agile working practices. Some travel will be required across the county.

About you
The right candidate will have:
- A proven ability to support the development of transformation strategies to deliver the strategic priorities of the department
- Experience of successfully managing and delivering a range of projects
- Excellent networking skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver change
- Understanding of the pressures and opportunities facing local authorities and the adult social care market in Cambridgeshire.
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of a Standard DBS Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
