Overview
Our product development centre in Romania is seeking a PHP Software Engineer to join their team. You will be working in one of our agile pods in playing a critical role in building IRIS’ next generation of customer-focused accountancy software. You will be helping to set the coding standards and patterns that will be used across our new cloud-based application suite working with UX, QA and DevOps experts to build re-usable services and components.
You will be a confident individual capable of working in a busy development environment with a focus on delivering quality code.
- Where necessary creating detailed design documentation and presenting it to a wide range of audiences.
- Working closely with the team to ensure prompt completion of sprint goals.
- Continually learning and advising on new approaches or solutions.
- Working closely with Development Operations to ensure high standards of delivery
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of LAMP stack
- 3-6 year experience of working as a software engineer in a cloud/PHP Environment
- Experience working in an Agile software development setup
- Strong experience of APIs and Web services
- Strong backend and database skills
- Strong experience of cloud SaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Advanced knowledge of GIT
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD systems & pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity etc)
- Experience of monitoring and logging techniques
- Strong foundations in security considerations
- Good communication skills
