Overview

We are looking to recruit a Range Manager for our Wellingborough head office. Reporting into the Head of Range, it will be your role as Manager to ensure that Booker have the correct Master Range Assortment to satisfy our numerous customer divisions, including Retail, Catering, Branch and National Accounts. You will be responsible for the effective delivery of the range to maximise sales, customer satisfaction & commercial objectives.

  • Being an expert in your area, become fully engaged with the Trading team to understand the direction & opportunities available and understand how we turn that into a viable solution for the business
  • Facilitating the needs of Operations & Sales Teams, ensuring we balance the overall proposition to deliver the best outcome.
  • Working with Trading, conduct Range reviews & product analysis to ensure we maintain relevance for our customers.
  • Provide complete & accurate analysis for projects or reviews to an agreed set of parameters
  • Building briefing documents and ways of working documentation to support where required, to ensure all parties understand fully how to adapt to new processes.
  • Redesigning Branches in line with latest policy and building appropriate ranges to suit.
  • Working with the Space Planners, building store planograms to reflect the forward facing direction of the business.
  • Creating the optimal BC ranges that take into account Customer & Commercial objectives.
  • Ensuring listing & deletion processes are followed to maintain our overall Range proposition.
  • Ensuring deletions from the Master Range are processed by the Trading Team (subject to GSCOP)
  • Supporting Supply Chain with timely sharing of information to minimise disruption.
  • Complying with all company policies, procedures and systems e.g. Business Code of Conduct, GSCOP, IT security.
  • Demonstratable understanding of the retail industry, specifically products.
  • Knowledge of how commercial decisions impact the business.
  • A clear understanding of your key stakeholders functions, including Trading, Supply Chain, Operations and Sales Teams.
  • Demonstrate ability and evidence of people management.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office (in particular MS Excel)
  • Knowledge of SAP (preferred, not essential)
  • Excellent in building positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers

Shift Hours: 38 hours hrs per week (Monday – Friday)
