Lewisham College requires a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified person to take on the role of Lecturer in our large, well equipped Plumbing training facility.

The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high quality learning programmes in Plumbing across levels 1 and 2 in further education, L3 apprenticeship provision and T Level. This also involves undertaking a range of programme leadership duties, tutorial and programme administration.

This post requires a strong background in Plumbing and the candidate must have a proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in the Building Engineering / Services sector.

The candidate must be qualified to L3 in an industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE and / or Apprenticeships and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.

An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include occasional evening and weekends according to demand.
