Position: Instructor

Location: Paignton, Devon

Hours: 40 hours per week, term time

Salary Details: £22,500 per annum

We require a motivated, skilled and resilient Instructor. The role will suit an instructor who can demonstrate energy, enthusiasm with a strong positive behaviour management ethos. Class sizes are small with TA support, all of our students need bespoke individualised learning.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Suitable education qualifications such as A levels or a degree.
  • Good ICT Proficiency.
  • Successful experience of implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education that challenges students to reach meaningful outcomes for increased independence.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum developments in the subjects to be taught.
  • Knowledge of child and adult safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to produce accurate and legible written material, plans and reports to meet deadlines.
  • Setting high standards for self and being a role model for students and staff.
  • Prioritise, and manage own time effectively.

Who we are:

Cambian Devon School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 30 students, aged 7-18 years.

The Cambian School is non-denominational and has a secular ethos, but respects the cultural needs and religious beliefs of all. The School specialises in education students with SEMH through flexible learning programmes, delivered using high-quality teaching and exceptional pastoral care.
