About the role

Working within our IT department, on behalf of the Social Care and Education service area, an opportunity has arisen to play a key role, actively supporting these systems and its data.

In this role, you will ensure that the data is accurate and up to date.  You will own your role by providing support and guidance to users, securing the integrity of the data by carrying out daily data processing activities and assist with testing.

You will be part of a team where your ideas for improvements, streamlining etc will be welcomed.

This is flexible working, envisaged you will be in the office 1-2 times per week. 

What will you be doing?

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key person within DTI for guidance and advice. Your knowledge and support of the systems and functions will be of great value to the team.

Supporting – running housekeeping tasks to identify missing/inaccurate data – investigating the root cause, and resolving / correcting the data.

Testing – you will be an expert user, therefore key in any User Acceptance testing for new and upgraded software, assist in projects.

Communication – be an effective communicator with users, suppliers and technical teams.  Ensuring that SLA’s are met and that from the positive relationships built, the users are satisfied with the service received.

About you

As a Data Management Officer, you will have a keen eye for attention to detail, proactively identify issues in the data, to ensure data integrity.

You will be a team player and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers alike.  You will be able to influence and negotiate with team members regarding the applications ease of use.  Your interpersonal skills will allow you to work under pressure, prioritise efficiently and meet deadlines.
