The IT Infrasture Technical Spaces Team is responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of IT networks throughout the University. We have campuses located across London including 3 Hospital sites. We are a team of 7 engineers working closely together providing services to Network Operations and Project teams as well as servicing customer requests.
About the role:
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. There will be a 6 month probationary period.
The role encompasses hands on input as well as a supervisory role for the other team members. Tasks will be assigned through Helix ticketing system and Through ADO (PBI assignments). These tasks can be requested by students, faculty members or Project management teams. The Lead engineer will monitor these ticket queues to ensure that SLA times are met and, where this is not possible, relevant comments are added to tickets. The successful candidate will directly report to the line manager regarding all issues that he/she deems relevant or requires escalation.

- Team management experience
- Demonstrable Telecommunications experience
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Previous Data Centre experience
- Working in a Customer-Facing environment
Desirable criteria
- Agile working experience
- Helix/ServiceNow experience
- Cisco accreditation
- Project Management experience
