Working Pattern
This role is based on a 3-week rolling rota, working an average of 4 days per week. Contracted hours will be made up of:
2 x 7-hour shifts
2 x 12-hour shifts

At Beaumont House, our Extra Care service supports older people to live independently with dignity, choice and confidence. We’re looking for a passionate Shift Leader to inspire and support our care team while helping us deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
What You’ll Do
Working alongside the Team Leaders and Service Manager, you will:
- Lead, motivate and support the care team during shifts.
- Assist with rota planning and day-to-day service operations.
- Champion high-quality, person-centred care and best practice.
- Build positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
- Complete medication audits, competency assessments and care observations.
- Support safe medication ordering, collection and administration.
- Help create a warm, welcoming and homely environment for customers.
About You
You’ll have:
- Experience supporting older and vulnerable adults in a care setting.
- Knowledge of end-of-life care and person-centred support.
- Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting people and developing others.

Beaumont House is in Walton-on-the-Naze on the old Martello Caravan Park. This small historical coastal town is popular with birdwatchers and is also an interesting area with buildings dating back to medieval times.
Beaumont House is an Extra Care housing scheme, helping you to live independently for as long as possible. Person Specification…
- Level 2 in Health and Social care or above
- Supervisory qualification or commitment to achieve within 18 – 24 months
