This Role: Service Charge Team Manager
Location: Farringdon, EC1N 8JS
Salary Banding: £56,713 – £59,698
Full time permanent role based on a 37.5 working week. This position is suitable for our smarter working policy being based in the office 2 days per week + 1 day being spent within a local office.
Working from our vibrant and modern office space in the heart of Hatton Garden, you’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering outstanding service in a truly inspiring location, as our Service Charge Team Manager will be responsible for leading a customer-facing team to deliver excellent service to residents, ensuring rent and service charge accounts are accurate, fair, and transparent.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and motivating a team of specialists to deliver a seamless MTVH experience.
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity across our IT systems, with strong reporting, analysis, and system management.
- Setting service charges, heating charges, and other property-related charges in line with legislation, policy, and contractual obligations.
- Managing service charge budgets and forecasts, ensuring effective monitoring and recovery of costs.
- Acting as a champion for service charge payers, resolving issues and driving service improvements.
- Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to our ambition to be sector leaders in service charge management.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent and fair processes for residents.
What we’re looking for
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a can-do attitude.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Advanced IT skills, especially in Excel and data platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of service charges, housing, and residential property management.
- Experience in budget management and preparing legal documentation for tribunals.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
