Job Description

Portico is on the hunt for a confident and charismatic Senior Welcome Host to take the lead at a world renowned law firm’s brand new workspace near Moorgate. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the front of house experience from day one and set the tone for a truly exceptional welcome.

As the Senior Welcome Host, you’ll guide and inspire a team of five, championing high standards and creating a warm, seamless, and memorable journey for every colleague, client, and guest who walks through the door. You’ll be the heartbeat of the space, hands on, people focused, and always one step ahead.

Hours: 40 hours per week, between 7:00 -22:00 from Mon-Fri
Salary: £39,000



Qualifications

Essential qualities

  • Energetic and hands on: This is an active, front facing role where you’ll be on your feet throughout the day, supporting a busy and dynamic workspace.
  • Front of house expertise: Experience as a Doorman, Concierge, or in a high end customer service environment is ideal, with a strong understanding of what exceptional first impressions look like.
  • People focused and personable: You’ll bring warmth, professionalism, and confidence to every interaction, ensuring colleagues, clients, and guests feel genuinely welcomed.
  • Immaculate presentation: A polished, professional appearance and a natural ability to represent both Portico and the client with pride.
  • Strong organisational skills: Comfortable managing your time, prioritising tasks, and staying composed in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication: Able to handle queries with clarity, empathy, and discretion.

Desirable qualities

  • Sector experience: Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment is a bonus, though not essential.
  • Leadership mindset: A genuine passion for coaching, developing, and motivating others, with the confidence to set standards and lead by example.
  • Service excellence: A natural drive to elevate the guest journey and continuously look for ways to enhance the front of house experience.
