Salary: £46950 – £62500 per annum
AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior People Analyst to lead a team of analysts in harnessing workforce data to drive strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking. Plans to relocate role to Green Park (Reading), from December 2025.
Package: From £46,950 to £62,500 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

As the Senior People Analyst, you will oversee the development of insights on workforce trends, ensuring leadership is equipped with actionable intelligence to make improvements and interventions across the business. As part of your role, you will:

Oversee the development of advanced data analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools to support HR and leadership decisions.

Identify organisational health challenges, and develop solutions through modelling, scenario testing and benchmarking

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of People Analysts to deliver high-quality workforce insights.

Ensure alignment with Functional and business objectives, particularly with the Digital Roadmap.
Who are we looking for?
We seeking an individual with previous experience providing strategic guidance on workforce trends, engagement, succession, and retention, while leading predictive analytics and workforce forecasting. Partnering with HR, business leaders, IT, and Organisation Effectiveness, ensuring data-driven insights align with business goals. Experience presenting clear recommendations to senior leadership, and promoting the value of analytics in driving success, staying ahead of emerging trends and technologies.
We do need you to have the following:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Psychology, Business, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or Human Resources.

Experience in people analytics, HR intelligence, or workforce data analysis.

Experience developing solutions with stakeholders that are backed by data-driven insights
-
Leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:

Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights.

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and statistical software (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

Communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to tell a story through data-driven insights.

Excellent analytical and statistical skills.
-
Strong PowerPoint skills.

Familiarity with HRIS systems and data governance principles.

Knowledge of Saba, Workday, Oracle or equivalent HRIS technologies.
You’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 3 days onsite per week.
