What you’ll be doing

Working within the award-winning Communications team, you will be responsible for implementing and planning marketing campaigns for a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles across all of Orion’s imprints. This will include running your own campaigns, as well as supporting senior team members on some of our biggest brand authors and launches.  

From writing and communicating marketing plans, building reader awareness and engaging booksellers, to planning and implementing paid and organic social media campaigns, creating eye-catching print and digital marketing materials, and analysing and reporting on campaign performance, you’ll play a crucial role in every step of a book’s journey – from acquisition to publication and beyond.

Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will be creative, full of ideas, detail oriented and highly organised, with a passion for connecting books to readers.  

Alongside demonstrable experience working on marketing campaigns, strong digital marketing, copywriting and communication skills are essential. You’ll be able to plan and track budgets and demonstrate an understanding of consumers and how to reach them across a range of platforms and work with third parties. Excellent social media skills are vital, and you’ll be comfortable implementing digital marketing campaigns across all major platforms including META, Twitter and TikTok. Knowledge of design platforms including Photoshop and InDesign is a bonus.

Impeccable organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage key stakeholders and build excellent working relationships across the business at all levels. You’ll be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure, as well work collaboratively as part of a team.

This role can be based at our London office, or at any of our new regional offices in Sheffield, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester or Bristol, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

Salary:

£29,000 – £33,000, dependent on experience and location(+bonus + benefits)
