Package: Operational Services Monthly grade 3 from £24794 to £26230 per annum. Subject to annual pay award.
Full Time, Open ended. Given the nature of the cricket playing season candidates must be flexible, working a minimum 44-hour week March until September / 30-hour week October until March split working hours. Also, these working hours will be to meet the needs of the sport and will include weekend and evening work, to be agreed in advance.
About the role:
The Estates and Facilities Management team are looking for a Semiskilled Groundsperson Cricket to join the wider Grounds and Gardens team based on the Loughborough University Campus.
The successful candidate will carry out skilled maintenance and development works on sports grounds with minimum supervision. This post will concentrate on cricket grounds and areas, within but not exclusive to the ECB National Cricket Academy during the playing season.
We are looking for an individual with an active interest in Sports, who is a great team player and a motivated individual.
For this role, the successful candidate will require: · Previous Sports grounds experience. · National/Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 2 Sports Turf Maintenance or IOG National Technical or working towards. · IOSH Working Safely qualification or be willing to work towards achieving it once in post · Experience in cricket pitch preparation. (Candidates with minimal cricket experience but with a sound understanding of sports ground maintenance will be considered) · Experience of operation of a wide range of machinery related to sports grounds maintenance.
