What the day will look like
- Leading a Team responsible for General Ledger accounting, accounting analysis, accounts reconciliations, and financial reporting and controls – for North America region;
- Leading cooperation with Third Party offshore team to ensure high level accounting processes such as Journal Entries preparation and Balance Sheet Reconciliations are delivered on timely manner;
- Managing month-end-close checklist across multiple countries to ensure that required and expected accounting entries for each country have been calculated, submitted, approved and posted leveraging Trintech tool Close module to facilitate this process;
- Support a team during month end close period working on US shift (2:30 pm – 10:30 pm);
- Ability to effectively answer and address accounting treatment questions that arise based on the accounting entries from multiple North America lines of business;
- Maintaining relationship with Controllers organization across all Aon business lines;
- Coordinate annual SOX testing; maintain and improve SOX documentation and workbook;
- Ongoing training for team members and professional development for colleagues;
- Identifying and resolving recurring performance problems and improvement opportunities;
- Leading or participating in working group initiatives related to accounting, collaboration, knowledge sharing and engagement.
- Strengthening continuous improvement approach and guiding team on effective usage of innovative solutions, including smart automations and AI technologies in daily work.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- At least 4-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting;
- University degree/professional qualification in Finance or Accounting;
- Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS reporting standards;
- Experience of working in international environment;
- At least 2 years of experience in managing a team in a fast-changing environment will be an asset;
- Transition experience is desirable;
- Fluent English is a must;
- Highly motivated and proactive, with good verbal/written communication, interpersonal and organization skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Willing to learn and increase his/ her qualifications;
- Knowledge of Workday will be an asset;
