Resource & Strategic Projects Director – Transitions – Krakow, Poland 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Resource & Strategic Projects Director – Transitions to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading transition projects from initiation through deployment, applying PMP, DMAIC, and Aon implementation methodologies to support the transfer of work from a market, function, or delivery center to a designated Global Capability Centre (GCC) or third-party provider.

What the day will look like

  • Managing transition projects from initiation through deployment, ensuring alignment with PMP, DMAIC, and Aon implementation methodologies for work transfers to Global Capability Centres (GCCs) or third-party providers.
  • Ensuring a seamless transition to operational teams while adhering to agreed timelines, budgets, scope, and business case objectives.
  • Assessing and presenting the technical and financial feasibility of offshoring initiatives, and providing recommendations to support strategic optimization programs.
  • Planning and delivering all aspects of transition and implementation activities, including resource planning, staffing, project management, travel coordination, knowledge transfer strategies, recruitment, SLA development, performance metrics, quality planning, workspace and technical infrastructure setup.
  • Driving effective collaboration and integration across functional teams and supporting departments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Supporting process mapping activities and maintaining accurate process documentation where required.
  • Acting as the first escalation point for project team members and facilitating the resolution of issues and conflicts.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, business stakeholders, project teams, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Establishing effective partnerships with GCC Operations, Program Management Office, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Human Resources, Technology, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Real Estate, and other key functions.
  • Providing regular project status updates and progress reports to clients, steering committees, leadership teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing multiple transition projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources effectively.
  • Ensuring all transition documentation is accurate, up to date, and reflects current project status, risks, issues, and action plans.
  • Maintaining transition management information systems (MIS), databases, and reporting tools to track project progress and provide visibility to stakeholders.

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Flexibility to work adjusted hours based on business needs.
  • Experience working in hybrid, remote, and office-based environments.
  • Previous experience collaborating with international clients and working in a global environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including partnering with senior leaders, managing expectations, and delivering results in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Good knowledge of email and calendar management tools.
  • Proven experience preparing high-quality business presentations and client-facing materials.
  • Professional Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification would be considered an asset.
