Location: Successful graduate will be based from Peterborough with occasional travel to our London hub (Kings Cross), one of our construction sites or a partner office. Please note your placements may vary across the region and departments so flexibility is essential.

Kickstart your career within our Project Management Graduate Programme and take part in one of the most ambitious infrastructure programmes in the UK water sector.

The Reservoirs Programme is a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, delivering two major raw water reservoirs – Fens and Lincs Reservoirs – along with their associated infrastructure. These projects are critical to securing sustainable water supplies for generations across the East of England and East Midlands. As part of this nationally significant infrastructure project, you’ll help shape critical infrastructure and contribute to the strategy for the construction of the Reservoirs.

As a Graduate Project Manager, you’ll be embedded within our Programme Management Team from day one, working alongside expert partners and gaining hands-on experience in:

Planning and stakeholder engagement
Risk management and project delivery
Development Consent Order (DCO) process
Construction planning and programme controls

You’ll rotate across key workstreams including design and engineering, environment, land and property, legal, planning, commercial, finance, and procurement. You’ll gain hands-on experience across these workstreams, developing a broad skill set through a project management lens. You’ll work alongside subject matter experts, contributing to areas such as Construction Design and Management (CDM), health, safety and wellbeing, contract and commercial management, change control, cost forecasting, budget tracking, schedule management, and quality assurance. This role offers exposure to both functional and technical disciplines, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. Who We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally a degree in a relevant discipline such as Project Management or a related STEM subject 2:2 or above

  • An outgoing, natural leader with strong people skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

  • A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute

  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
