About Us
The Planning Obligations team works within the regulatory planning & enforcement service. The team collects financial obligations from developers. This funding is used to mitigate against the impact of development by funding essential infrastructure.
About the Role
This role will analyse held developer contributions. It will liaise with service areas to agree spend plans. It will liaise with finance to maximise the use of developer funding for projects and will support the provision of KPI data
This position is a key role in working across services to support the development of spend profiles and forward planning to maximise the timely use of developer contributions.
About you
You will have strong analytical skills, able to review complex financial data. The ability to understand legal agreements where obligations area secured will be essential.
As this role will require liaison across a number of different services you need to have effective communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
You will need to have attention to detail to enable accurate reporting and recording of data and the ability to explain complex data in a simplified way.
You should have experience of writing/reviewing business cases or funding agreements.
You will need to be proactive in communicating with service areas and have the confidence to question services on their plans for spending contributions, particularly where they have been held for some time.
