Are you an experienced Non-Medical Prescriber passionate about improving the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol dependence?
We’re looking for an experienced Band 7 Non-Medical Prescriber (28 hours per week) to join our specialist substance misuse service in Southend-on-Sea.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and confident clinician to provide expert prescribing support and holistic care for individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependence, while playing a key leadership role within a multidisciplinary team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering evidence-based non-medical prescribing and clinical interventions
- Managing complex drug and alcohol cases with autonomy and professionalism
- Providing clinical guidance and support to colleagues and external partners
- Leading on risk management, safeguarding, and medicines management
- Supporting service improvement and best practice across the team
- Mentoring and developing staff while promoting a culture of continuous learning
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
What we’re looking for:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber
- Strong experience within substance misuse services
- Excellent knowledge of controlled drugs legislation and clinical governance
- A confident leader with strong communication and decision-making skills
- Passion for delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care
