About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a part time Night Support Worker for 20 hours per week based in Jasmine House, a supported living house in Ely. The post will involve supporting adults with learning disabilities in keeping their lives independent and safe.
Jasmine House is in walking distance of Ely Centre with all its shops, restaurants and amenities. It also has great travel links and excellent bus routes. There is also some on-site parking for staff.
Cambridgeshire County Council is committed to providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities in their own homes. Our services are residential and supported living providing accommodation and support for adults with learning disabilities. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Starting salary for the role is £12.65 – £12.85 per hour. (We pay enhancements for weekends and Bank Holidays – Saturday £19.57, Sundays £22.83 and Bank holidays £26.10 per hour).
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

About you
Support Workers will be in regular contact with service users, families other professionals and partner agencies, therefore you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills including IT skills.
You will also have a sensitive and professional approach showing understanding of confidentiality in and outside of the workplace. You will be enthusiastic and dedicated to making a difference to people’s lives.
