Lead Pharmacy Technician – Pharmacy Cancer Services (Band 6)
An exciting opportunity to combine hands-on leadership with genuine clinical development. Join our Pharmacy Cancer Services team and take a lead role in delivering safe, timely and patient-focused care for people receiving cancer treatment.

In this Band 6 role you’ll lead the day-to-day technical service within Pharmacy Cancer Services. You’ll balance operational leadership with a strong quality focus, helping shape a safe and efficient environment for handling high-risk medicines.

You will have the opportunity to extend your practice in Cancer Services, developing the technical service alongside involvement in audits, SOP development and service improvement.

Within this role, you would be expected to advance your clinical skills and be involved in clinical verification of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) and supportive treatments in line with local governance and BOPA standards.

About you
You’ll be a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician with ACPT and experience supporting others through supervision and training. You’ll be organised, proactive and calm under pressure, with a strong commitment to safety, quality and compassionate patient care.

For part time roles you will receive a pro rata’d (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
