Job Introduction
We’re looking for a Land Disposals Process Manager to play a key role in the effective management and governance of land disposals across our National Resources business. This is a highly visible role that supports the safe, compliant and efficient disposal of surplus operational land, ensuring the right processes are followed to protect value and manage risk.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, including the Land Development Director, you’ll act as the central point of coordination for land disposal activity, bringing structure, assurance and clarity to a complex and business‑critical process.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be responsible for owning and overseeing the land disposals process end to end. Key areas of focus will include:
- Managing the land disposals process, ensuring it is clearly defined, consistently applied and aligned with governance requirements
- Providing process oversight and support to the Land Development Director and wider Land Disposals Team, including reporting, assurance and performance updates
- Coordinating land disposal activity with internal teams and external advisers to ensure disposals progress in a controlled and compliant way
- Preparing and managing documentation, reports and submissions required for internal approvals and governance forums
- Ensuring land disposals comply with internal policies, legal, planning and regulatory requirements
- Acting as a subject‑matter point of contact on land disposals processes for stakeholders across the business
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and drive consistency across land disposal activity
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is highly organised, process‑driven and confident working with senior stakeholders. You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience managing processes, governance or programmes within land, property, development or a similarly regulated environment
- A solid understanding of land, estates or development activities, with an appreciation of the risks and controls involved in disposals
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior leaders and professional advisers
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly around compliance, reporting and documentation
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activity across different teams
- A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge and enhance existing processes
