Purpose

The Global Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for developing insightful data reporting, building clear and visually impactful presentations and trainings, and supporting tools development to enhance operational efficiency. Working closely with regional teams and cross-functional partners – including IT, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Finance – this role ensures that global strategies are clearly communicated, measured and brought to life at store level. 

 

This role is offered on a full time, permanent contract and will be based in our Horseferry House, London office for 4 days per week.

 

Responsibilities

 

Retail Operations Analytics & Insights

  • Extract and analyse data from multiple system sources to produce meaningful insights that support global retail strategy
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Translate performance metrics into clear, action-oriented retail operations strategies for senior stakeholders and regional partners

 

Presentations, Training development and Retail Communication

  • Build high-quality decks (strategy, commercial, training) for both internal and store-level audiences
  • Simplify complex data into clear, compelling naratives and visual formats using PowerPoint and visualisation tools
  • Ensure all content is aligned with the Burberry brand tone and visual identity

 

Digital Tools: Microsoft PowerApps and Automation

  • Support development, maintenance and improvement of Power App tools used to streamline retail operations
  • Partner with Central and Regional Operations teams, IT and Power Apps teams to identify business needs and build scalable solutions within the Power Platform ecosystem

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for turning data into insights
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and data visualisation platforms (Power BI, Tableau preferred and similar)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power Apps and a foundational understanding of Power Platform capabilities
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and visual storytelling skills
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative approach and a proven ability to work across regions and departments

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Background or a good understanding of global retail operations or similar commercial retail environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of retail KPIs, systems and store operations processes preferred
  • Multi-store, cross-country or corporate retail experience leading stores in an operational role is a plus.
  • End to end project management.
