This is not a networking role.

It is about follow‑through. You will be measured on job starts, sustainment and the quality of your employer pipeline.

You will need to balance employer expectations with participant reality. Some conversations are easy.

Others require resilience, clarity and honest challenge.

Environment

You will spend time out with employers, not just behind a desk.

Pace matters.

Structure matters. You will work closely with Employment Advisors and delivery teams to make matches that work for everyone.

What You Will Do

  • Build and manage a live portfolio of employer relationships
  • Proactively generate vacancies aligned to local labour market demand
  • Secure job opportunities that participants can realistically sustain
  • Shape employer‑led recruitment activity and volume hiring where required
  • Maintain momentum through consistent follow‑up and communication
  • Track job starts and sustainment outcomes accurately
  • Keep CRM records up to date and compliant

Employer / Stakeholder Element

You will act as a trusted recruitment partner to employers.

You will represent Get Set UK professionally with employers, Jobcentre Plus and local partners. Reliability is remembered here.

What You Will Bring

Essential

  • Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, business development or sales‑led roles
  • A track record of working to targets or KPIs
  • Confidence building professional relationships

Trainable

  • Knowledge of employability contracts and sustainment measures
  • Sector‑specific labour market insight

A Day in the Role

You might start the day reviewing vacancy flow and sustainment figures.

Late morning could be employer visits or recruitment conversations.

The afternoon may involve matching candidates, chasing feedback and updating CRM records. Plans change.

You adapt.

You keep outcomes moving.

Recruitment Process

These must be completed in full. If progressed, you may be invited to a telephone or video screening interview. We expect candidates to attend as agreed. Successful candidates may complete a short work‑based assessment within 48 hours, followed by a hiring manager interview. We look for candidates who show commitment throughout the process.
