What the day will look like
- Support continuous monitoring, assessment and improvement of key business processes and internal & SOX controls impacting the organization
- Execute assigned elements of the SOX program, including process documentation, walk-through documentation, risk and control matrices, testing work papers, and evaluation of control effectiveness
- Assist in identifying risks and control gaps and support remediation activities in cooperation with process owners
- Support preparation, analysis and sharing of metrics and reports related to SOX and control activities
- Ensure processes and controls are properly documented and that knowledge is captured and maintained
- Participate in team initiatives and project work as assigned
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- University degree or professional qualification in Finance or Accounting
- 1–2 years of experience in SOX 404 or internal controls environment
- 2–3 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or SSC/BPO industry
- Experience working in an international environment
- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office required)
- MS Excel – good to advanced level; VBA knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and continuously develop skills and qualifications
- Experience in project work would be an asset
- Strong ethical standards and attention to detail
