Digital Marketing Manager – Monument Place

Digital Marketing Manager based at Monument Place, near London Bridge

Ready to take ownership of a high-profile digital marketing portfolio that reaches millions of customers every year?

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to lead our paid digital and always-on performance strategy for Govia Thameslink Railway, the UK’s biggest rail franchise and home to Southern, Thameslink, Great Northern and Gatwick Express.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll define and deliver our performance marketing strategy, driving scalable, sustainable growth across our digital sales funnel. As our in-house expert, you’ll lead our relationship with a dedicated digital agency team, champion best practice, and work closely with colleagues across Campaigns, Brand & Content, CRM and Digital to ensure our marketing truly connects with customers.

Your work will span everything from driving Always On, PPC and SEO for large-scale UK brand campaigns to creating digital strategies that reach European travellers arriving through the airports we serve. It’s a role with real variety, visibility and room to grow.

You’ll drive two headline KPIs:

  • Growth in incremental revenue from paid digital media (within ROI limits)
  • Growth in online market share (sales from GTR-owned web vs. third-party web)

You’ll take ownership of:

  • Performance activity across PPC, Paid Social and Programmatic channels
  • Developing and executing SEO and CRO strategies across four GTR brand websites
  • Championing data-led decision making and continuous optimisation across digital touchpoints

What you’ll bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in digital marketing (client or agency side)
  • Proven success in building and executing multi-channel growth strategies that deliver measurable revenue
  • Hands-on experience with key platforms including Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics and Google Search Console (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of SEO and CRO best practices and how to apply and communicate these across teams
  • Background in high-volume B2C e-commerce, ideally travel, transport, retail or leisure
  • Passion for data, testing and measurable growth, with a commercial focus and test-and-learn mindset
  • Experience managing external agencies and suppliers

What’s in it for you:

An ambitious salary, eligibility for our final salary pension scheme, free travel on all GTR services, up to 75% discount on other train operators, and a benefits package designed to support your career and wellbeing.

Join us and help deliver smarter, more connected journeys across the South East.
