King’s Business School (KBS) is a triple-accredited, London-based business school and has grown rapidly in scale over the past 9 years. We have an international student body and the KBS Careers team support our students’ career planning, personal and professional development and work-readiness.
About the role:
As the Careers provision has expanded, so too has the volume and complexity of careers and employability data across engagement, experience and student outcomes.
We are seeking a Data & Insights Officer (Careers) to join a friendly and passionate team of 15 and support the effective use of this data across KBS. This is a new position and will focus on collecting, integrating and analysing data from multiple sources—including student engagement, careers platforms and employment outcomes. They will produce clear, actionable insights and support our students’ success throughout and post-study. The Careers service is data-rich and we would like the individual to build an understanding of what best practise can look like in this field and be eager to explore and maximise information and positively impact our student outcomes.
The role will bring together data from multiple sources to create a more coherent and usable evidence base for the School. This will support the delivery and ongoing development of careers provision, enabling more targeted support for students and a clearer understanding of what drives progression and success and will have a focus on our student outcome data.

Please note, the position is a hybrid post and requires a minimum of 40% on-campus presence, 2 days a week in our Bush House, The Strand offices.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Experience working with data in a professional, analytical or higher education environment
- Experience producing reports, dashboards or data summaries for stakeholders
- Experience using data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. data cleaning, structuring, pivot tables, lookups)
- Experience working with and combining multiple data sources
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends or patterns, and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Desirable criteria
- Experience using CRM systems or data platforms
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools
- Experience using tools such as Power Query, Microsoft Copilot or similar to support data analysis and efficiency
- Experience working with student, education or employability-related data
- Familiarity with survey or outcomes datasets (e.g. graduate outcomes or similar)
