Job Title: Course Leader – Maths
Salary: Commencing at £34,869 with progression to £40,410 per annum
About the Role
What You Will Do
- Responsible for retention, achievement, progress/value added, attendance and positive progression rates selected Mathematics courses
- Maintain high quality and effective delivery across the course team.
- Develop new modules, units and courses.
- Responsible for developing new units, modules and courses in line with government policy, awarding organisation developments and student demand as well as local community, economic and employer requirements
About You
- You hold a relevant maths qualification and a recognised teaching qualification, or are willing to work towards one. Experience of curriculum leadership and knowledge of quality assurance processes would be an advantage.
- You have experience of teaching maths successfully across a range of levels and understand how to motivate and support learners with differing starting points and needs.
- You are an enthusiastic and experienced maths professional with a strong commitment to improving learner outcomes and promoting the value of mathematics.
- You are confident in using data to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies that raise achievement, attendance, and learner progress.
- You have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, build positive relationships, and work collaboratively with colleagues across teams.
- You are proactive, solution-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
