Are you a passionate Counsellor who wants to support people to make real, lasting change?
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Counsellor to join the SHARP Programme, working across Rodney Street and Brink Parr Street in Liverpool. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) within a community treatment service supporting adults aged 18+ affected by drug and alcohol use.
Working within a community-based day rehabilitation setting, you will help deliver an integrated programme of clinical, psycho-social and wellbeing interventions designed to support lasting recovery and positive life change.
You will play an important role in delivering the Forward Trust SHARP programme, which combines the 12-Step recovery model with an ITEP (CBT) approach, supporting clients to engage in structured treatment and make meaningful, transformational progress.
What you’ll be doing
As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Deliver 1:1 counselling interventions and support daily structured group programmes
- Support client assessments, admissions and recovery planning
- Help facilitate the SHARP day programme and pre-abstinent services
- Support clients with 12-step work and programme assignments
- Work closely with Recovery Practitioners and partner agencies
- Maintain accurate case records and support care planning processes
- Contribute to a safe, positive and recovery-focused environment
