Associate Retirement Consultant

We are looking for an Associate Retirement Consultant to work closely with Retirement Consultants as the primary day to day contact for a portfolio of clients, including preparing reports, attending regular client meetings and assisting with the provision of advice to ensure client needs are met.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office.

What the day will look like

  • Provide support to consultants, in delivering and managing the clients in their portfolio in accordance with client servicing procedures
  • Building strong relationships with consultants and clients
  • Work towards managing your own portfolio of clients
  • Independently respond to queries and requests from consultants, providers and clients
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments and assist with the identification of revenue generation opportunities for existing clients
  • Proactively participating in client project work as required
  • Communicating with clients effectively at all levels, in order to maintain and further develop our excellent client relationships
  • Attend and input into client meetings as required
  • You will contribute to the delivery of member presentation materials, and will deliver member presentations as required from time to time
  • Ensure any appropriative legislative, regulatory, business, practice and professional standards are followed
  • Analyze information and suggest approaches to work and prepare and review standard reports.
  • Identify and refer cross selling opportunities for the Actuarial and Investment Practices along with any other cross business opportunities across Aon Ireland
  • Contribute to the Consultants Priorities Group by assisting and implementing structures which will result in streamlining and creating efficiencies in our client management

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 3+ years relevant Financial/Professional services experience
  • Working towards or have achieved QFA or IIPM Professional Qualification, with relevant up to date CPD where required and meeting any relevant regulatory requirements of the role
  • Experience and successful management of client service delivery
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and producing quality deliverables on time
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage and plan for multiple projects
  • Strong IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point
  • You would hold an awareness of our companywide capabilities that can suit our client’s needs
  • High level of self- motivation and proactivity.
  • Proactively contributing to the success of the team
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills to anticipate future needs/issues,
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and execute tasks in high pressure environment.
  • Confidence in managing client queries and expectations
  • Strong communications, presentation and interpersonal skills with effective client management skills.
  • Proactively participate in continuous professional development
  • Experience of pensions is desirable but not essential
