About the role:
The Alumni & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator role sits within the External Engagement Team at King’s Business School and focuses primarily on engagement with recent graduates, students and early-career alumni. The role leads on designing and delivering a programme of alumni activity that supports the student to alumni journey, with a strong emphasis on events, volunteering and mentoring. Key responsibilities include coordinating graduation-related alumni activity, online masterclasses, mentoring and networking events, and supporting student experience initiatives that create early and meaningful connections with future alumni.
The role plays a central part in delivering alumni events locally, virtually and internationally, working closely with the wider team to manage event logistics, registrations, communications and data processes. It also involves building and stewarding alumni volunteers, tracking participation, issuing digital volunteering credentials, and maintaining accurate records to support long-term engagement.
In addition, the role manages mass alumni communications and enquiries, including biannual alumni event roundups, LinkedIn group administration and oversight of the shared inbox. Strong collaboration across King’s Business School, central Alumni Relations and other internal teams is essential to ensure joined-up working, consistent messaging and a positive experience for alumni and students alike.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an a fixed term contract until Jan 2027
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate positively, clearly and effectively in written and spoken communications
- Computer literate (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Event and project management experience
- Proven record of building relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
- Ability to use initiative and make quick decisions under pressure
- Ability to think critically and analyse data & audience feedback to modify activity
Desirable criteria
- Experience of volunteer management
- Experience of working within a business school or higher education environment
- Experience using databases to record and analyse data (Dynamics/Mailchimp)
