Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting essential services?
Join our Corporate Fleet Unit as a Fleet Administration Support Officer and help keep our operations running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital service area, supporting both internal teams and external customers.
We’re a progressive team that thrives on innovation and continuous improvement.
Our goal is to become greener, leaner, and smarter—embracing cutting-edge technology and fresh ideas to transform how we operate across the entire sector. Based at the Tri-Service Workshops and Shire Hall in Gloucester, our dedicated team is already making a difference. Now, we’re looking to grow—bringing in talented individuals like you to help shape the future.
About the Role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact. As part of a growing and evolving team, you’ll help shape how we work and contribute to a key part of our fleet operations. Reporting to the Administration Supervisor, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to deliver high-quality support to our team, as well as colleagues across Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) and Gloucestershire County Council (GCC).
Our fleet is undergoing exciting changes—with new systems, vehicles, and technologies being introduced. We’re expanding our team to support a wide range of projects, from electric vehicle rollouts and infrastructure upgrades to the development of new procedures that improve how our fleet is managed and maintained. The Corporate Fleet Unit plays a vital role in delivering large-scale, specialist vehicle projects for GFRS and other council departments.
This is where you come in. Your administrative expertise will help drive these projects forward, ensuring we meet the needs of all service areas. While strong admin skills are essential, we’re equally focused on finding someone who shares our values of respect, integrity, and excellence, and who is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
About You.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, data-savvy, and passionate about improving processes. You’ll work closely with colleagues, attend training sessions, and contribute to management meetings—so excellent communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach are key.
You’ll need to be confident managing your own workload and meeting deadlines in a busy environment. Previous experience in an administrative role is ideal, and if you’re someone who thrives in a collaborative team and enjoys making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
