Job Title: Apprenticeship Assessor/Teacher – Business
Salary: Commencing at £31,916 with progression to £35,912 per annum
About the Role
What You Will Do
- Manage a caseload of Business apprentices across Keighley College and Harrogate College, supporting them from enrolment through to successful completion of their apprenticeship.
- Deliver high-quality coaching, mentoring, assessment and progress reviews that enable apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by their apprenticeship standard.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with employers, ensuring apprenticeship programmes meet both learner and business needs.
- Conduct regular workplace reviews, monitoring progress against agreed targets and taking action to support timely achievement.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualised support to help apprentices overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure all documentation and evidence is completed in line with awarding organisation, quality and funding requirements.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and apprenticeship colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner and employer experience.
- Promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety practices at all times.
- Support quality improvement activities and contribute to achieving apprenticeship performance targets, including retention, achievement and learner satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with changes to apprenticeship standards, assessment requirements and business sector developments to ensure delivery remains current and relevant.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing others and committed to helping apprentices achieve their full potential.
You may already be working as an Assessor, Skills Coach, Trainer or Teacher, or you may be an experienced Business professional looking to take your first step into education and apprenticeships. If you have current industry experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to support learners, we would love to hear from you.
You will be organised, proactive and able to build positive relationships with both learners and employers. A strong understanding of workplace practices within a business environment, along with the ability to motivate and inspire others, is essential.
