Welsh Language Provision Support Administrator – Ty Garth, Cardiff
The College of Biomedical and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to support Welsh-medium provision within the College. The role will support the delivery and enhancement of Welsh medium provision and opportunities across Schools and programmes within the College.
The post holder will work with the Welsh Language Education Manager and key stakeholders within the College and the University to support the enhancement and implementation of Welsh medium opportunities for a range of students from different linguistic backgrounds, developing provision for fluent, non-fluent and new speakers, linked to the University’s wider strategy and Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Welsh Medium targets for conversion of students to Welsh medium provision.
The role will support Welsh language and bilingual provision, opportunities and activities and will provide comprehensive professional administrative support and guidance for students, staff and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will take responsibility for specific areas of work, leading and guiding others in delivering these, and ensuring that students, academic colleagues and partners receive a high-quality experience.
This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, which means that as well as working on campus you can also choose to spend some time working from another location, e.g. your home. This is a full time post (35 hours per week) available immediately and is a fixed term post for 3 years.
Salary: £28,031 – £31,236
per annum (Grade 4). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are
usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
