Night Operations Manager – London – England

 

Are you an experienced security professional who thrives in a fast-paced, out-of-hours environment and has the confidence to make critical decisions and provide effective leadership throughout the night?

We are looking for an experienced Night Operations Manager to take ownership of operational standards across our London security portfolio during night operations.

This is a high-impact role where you will be the key operational point of escalation out of hours, providing leadership, support and guidance to Security Managers, Supervisors and Security Officers. You will be visible across our sites, identifying risks, resolving operational challenges and ensuring our clients receive consistently high standards of service throughout the night.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Night Operations Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and support night security operations across London.
  • Conduct regular night-time site visits, audits and inspections.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to Security Managers, Supervisors and Security Officers.
  • Act as the primary operational escalation point for out-of-hours incidents and security concerns.
  • Monitor staffing, attendance, post coverage and operational requirements.
  • Ensure Assignment Instructions, SOPs, risk assessments and client requirements are consistently followed.
  • Monitor Dayforce training, compliance and other operational requirements.
  • Complete meaningful night audits, ensuring actions are recorded, followed up and closed.
  • Review and complete security and operational risk assessments.
  • Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support incident management, investigations and emergency situations.
  • Ensure incidents, risks and operational issues are accurately reported and escalated.
  • Maintain strong communication and continuity between night and day operations.
  • Provide regular operational reports covering incidents, staffing, risks and key areas requiring attention.
  • Support new mobilisations, contract changes and operational projects.
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, compliance and professionalism.
  • Develop and coach night teams to improve performance and service delivery.
  • Cover the Annual Leave of the opposite Operations Manager when required.

Job Title: Nights Operations Manager

Location: Central London

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Hours: 42 hours per week, including bank holidays

Annual Leave: 25 days

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong security knowledge with confident operational leadership.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a security management, supervisory or security operations role.
  • Experience overseeing security teams during night operations.
  • A full, valid UK manual driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, compliance and risk management.
  • Experience completing and reviewing security risk assessments.
  • Excellent incident management and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities.
  • Confidence making independent decisions during out-of-hours operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A professional approach and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, management and site teams.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Dayforce and operational reporting systems.
  • IOSH qualification is preferred.
