Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We’re looking for Relief Support Workers to join our team at Hyde Close Flats in Barnet on a flexible, bank basis, paying £13.00 per hour plus Inner London Allowance of £1.58 per hour.
Hyde Close Flats is a welcoming service supporting seventeen adults with sensory impairments, mobility needs, and complex learning disabilities to achieve their optimum potential in social, emotional, developmental, and educational activities. You’ll cover shifts as and when needed, making this a great option for someone looking to fit work around other commitments.
This role has the following requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous experience supporting people with sensory impairments or complex needs
- Experience using communication methods such as signing, symbols, or objects of reference
- Care Certificate
- Knowledge of BSL – desirable
We are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, caring, and empathetic
- Flexible and reliable with availability
- Positive, with a can-do attitude
- Willing to attend training as needed
This role might include supporting people with:
- Personal care and hygiene
- Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
- Finances and medication
- Getting out into the community for activities and social events
- Their social, emotional, and developmental wellbeing
