Deputy Construction Project Delivery Services Manager – Plymouth
Job Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our project in the Southwest where we are a delivery partner on a key infrastructure project. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in one of the most complex and challenging projects in the UK today, where you will be responsible for document control.
You will be required to work on site 3-4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage an ECI Contract with the Main Works Contractor
- Deputise as required for the Project Construction Delivery Support Manager
- Provide contractual support for construction delivery and functional teams.
- Support the project by tracking contract health and assisting the delivery and functional teams in maintaining that health
- Liaise with the wider DRDL functions to ensure that 10 Dock and the supply chain align with relevant processes and procedures and that these are appropriately instructed.
- Carry out other project and non-project related activities as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- Several years’ experience in a similar role in construction
- Experience in the use of construction contracts
- Highly organised with an attention to detail.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Able to work effectively to deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and other disciplines in both verbal and written
- Good interpersonal skills and team worker
- The successful Candidate will either be a current holder of Security Check (SC) or Developing Vetting (DV) Clearance, or have the ability and be willing to obtain security clearance required for the role.
Desirable
- Proven experience in major construction projects
- Experience in the administration of NEC contracts
