Strategic Home Ownership Assistant – Andover, SP10 4BF, United Kingdom
We’re looking for a proactive, organised and forward-thinking Administrator to join our Home Ownership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting a busy, collaborative service that directly impacts our customers and communities.
You’ll provide dynamic administrative support, help improve ways of working, and play an important part in ensuring services run smoothly, accurately and efficiently. No two days will be the same, you’ll be involved in everything from data and reporting to customer support and project coordination.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll support the Strategic Home Ownership team with a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks, including:
- Producing, maintaining and updating data, spreadsheets and reports to support decision-making
- Drafting and issuing correspondence for consultations within relevant legislative frameworks
- Supporting internal stakeholders with information packs and helping improve first-time resolution of customer queries
- Managing and responding to enquiries from external stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate database records, including information used for legal or court processes
- Providing inbox cover and general administrative support across the wider team
- Supporting the management of licences and commercial units, helping ensure compliance and timely payments
- Assisting with key projects including Gas Safety and Fire Door Replacement programmes, helping ensure compliance and supporting legal escalation where required
- Supporting the Major Works Liaison Officer in delivering excellent customer service to affected residents
- Assisting customers with financial queries, including repayment arrangements, discretionary payment plans and hardship fund applications
- Signposting customers to both internal financial support and external agencies
- Developing a working knowledge of the Section 20 process
You’ll also support wider team administration, such as:
- Arranging and supporting meetings, events and minute taking
- Managing mail merges, print runs and communications
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, systems and workflows (including HUB/Dynamics)
- Raising purchase orders and supporting transactional processes
- Setting up tenancies for new, resale and VDP properties
- Scanning, filing and document management
- Handling frontline customer enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face
You’ll also assist with Right to Buy (RTB) activity by:
- Collating responses from internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining and updating land ownership and contract records
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and other office systems
- A strong communicator who builds effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Adaptable, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
- A full UK driving licence holder with access to a vehicle for work travel
