We are looking for a Catering Assistant to work at Ore Village primary school.
· 12.5 hours per week 11:00 – 13:30
· £12.71 per hour – pro rata across the year
· Assist the manager in preparing and serving food and maintaining a clean working environment.
· To be customer focused and approachable at all times.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Ore Village, United Kingdom. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our food service operations, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and served to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in the preparation of delicious meals
- Serve food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure food safety compliance
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during meal services
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Operate kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and special requests
- Participate in setup and cleanup activities for catering events
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Passion for food service and customer satisfaction
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training will be provided)
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus, but not required
