Property Broker

We are complementing our Nordic Broking Centre unit with an insurance broker, specialist in Property and Business Interruption insurance. The main role is to assist Aon’s largest global and corporate customers in their insurance issues as well as participate in customer team work together with specialists in other areas.

 

A broker in this role will work with local clients in Denmark and be part of a Nordic Property team. The broker will service major international and corporate clients and be part of client teams consisting of Client Leaders, Specialist Brokers, Risk Consultants and Client Coordinators. Together, the team ensures that our commitments are achieved and to the highest quality. This role can be based at any of our three offices in Denmark: Copenhagen, Kolding or Aarhus.

Job Responsibilities

 

This is a position for a trusted advisor that the client and the client team can always turn to for quick, clear and unambiguous advice regarding Property insurance products. The main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures with understanding of clients’ risks and develop insurance solutions that meet their needs
  • Market new and renewal business, handle all aspects of the placements from tailor-made market strategy through policy delivery to client. Build and maintain detailed knowledge of Property insurance marketplace, products and services. Create new products with colleagues to meet the clients’ changing needs
  • Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and coordinate activities with other Aon colleagues in different regions as required
  • Actively contribute to sharing knowledge and experience on product and markets with colleagues

 

 

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Attention to detail with focus on the overall strategy, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions. Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact and collaborate optimally at various levels
  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience. Effective proven understanding of carrier underwriting practices & processes. We prefer a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Fluency in Danish or another Nordic language (written and spoken) is required
  • Shown leadership skills in working with teams and able to work with clients and to exceed client expectations. Shown client facing skills including effective presentations & communications
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced energetic environment that requires the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
