Senior Business Process Analyst – London, N1C 4AG, United Kingdom
The Role
Universal Music Group has recently acquired a group of companies comprising three divisions and legal entities across 12 countries, supported by central finance teams in the Netherlands and the United States.
The Senior Business Process Analyst will play a pivotal role in the integration of this newly acquired group into the UMG finance ecosystem. This includes the alignment, standardisation, and implementation of global finance processes and systems.
This role will focus primarily on the end-to-end integration of core finance process areas, including Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Tax, and Banking. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders and IT (predominantly SAP), ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into scalable system and process solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the integration of acquired the entities into UMG’s global finance processes and systems.

Analyse, document, and optimise end-to-end finance processes across P2P, O2C, Tax, eCommerce, and Supply Chain Finance.

Act as a bridge between Finance users and IT teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications, particularly within SAP environments.

Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and drive standardisation initiatives aligned with UMG best practices.

Support data migration activities, for master and transactional data.

Ensure compliance with global tax regulations (VAT/GST/Sales Tax) and internal controls.

Contribute to project planning, tracking, and delivery against defined timelines and milestones.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, IT, and Operations within a complex global environment.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
-
Strong accounting background with comprehensive understanding of P2P and O2C processes.

Professionally qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Solid understanding of indirect taxes, including VAT, GST, and Sales Tax.

Proven experience in process analysis, design, and documentation.

Hands-on experience with SAP (transactional processes, master data, and basic data structures/tables).

Ability to interpret and articulate finance user requirements and issues clearly.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to work to project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable

Experience in large-scale finance transformation or system integration projects.

Experience with data migration (master and transactional data).

Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools such as SharePoint, Wiki platforms, and Atlassian JIRA.
