Director, Experiential and Partnerships – New York, 10019, United States of America 

°1824 is UMG’s in-house culture marketing and creative strategy team focused on the connection of artists and brands directly to fans through storytelling and experiences. Our offerings include content creation, live streaming, ideation, PR, creator partnerships, fan experiences, and social strategy. 

How You’ll CREATE

°1824 is seeking a full-time Director to oversee UMG’s relationships with partners who move culture across the country including local partners and universities. Candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a large database of partners, that influence culture, to source unique collaborative opportunities for our artists. Candidate will lead a student staff to execute a high-volume of local fan events and experiences on and off campuses across the country. Candidate must be creative, timely with deadlines and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment. Candidate must also possess excellent communication skills and be able to lead meetings and present marketing plans to our label and artist partners.

How You’ll CREATE

  • Serve as the the go-to liaison for all NYC-based labels and Business Units for °1824 services while serving all labels (LA, Nashville, NYC) with your specific offerings
  • Lead NYC based office of 3 full-time and 25 local part-time representatives that identify opportunities for our artists to engage with fans via local partnerships including culture movers and universities
  • Mentor, train, and coordinate projects with the °1824 part-time strategic partnership student representatives (25 nationwide)
  • Oversee all production and logistics for local and college-focused events and experiences coordinated by the °1824 staff (venue scouting, vendor negotiation, staffing, event management, budget etc.)
  • Oversee data capture strategy & recaps for all experiential events nationwide
  • Support the NY Strategic Partnerships team with focus group and marketing strategy sessions with label partners, artist management and part-time staff
  • Review, organize, and/or log event footage into asset management system (Sony Ci)
  • Oversee and maximize UMG’s relationships with colleges and student organizations to find artist opportunities including speaking events, performances and superfan activations
  • Build and manage a database of college athletes and athletic programs to bring additional opportunities to our artists
  • Actively participate in team and label meetings, discussions, and planning

Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with on-site event management (music or entertainment event experience preferred)
  • Experience with high-volume project management and team leadership
  • Highly creative and collaborative with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with client/partner acquisition and retention
  • Knowledge of regional music culture and marketing artists at a local level
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Experience:

  • 3+ years at a label, agency or similar setting, entertainment industry experience preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
