What You’ll Do

Join the Climate & Sustainability (C&S) Practice Area (PA) at BCG—a global team focused on delivering impact and value for clients and the planet. As a Practice Area Assistant, you will support a variety of operational, event, and project-related tasks in a rotational set-up, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of the PA’s operations and events. You’ll work in a global team, collaborating closely with the Marketing, Offer and Regional teams, as well as other colleagues across the Practice Area’s Management & Operations team.

 

We are seeking a strong candidate with initiative and aptitude in organizational operations and events to fill this position.

 

The position will report to the PA Marketing Director based in London.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured operational support across four rotations (Marketing, Offer, Regions, Business Operations)
  • Provide end-to-end coordination support for flagship C&S events, especially New York Climate Week: managing timelines and logistics, coordinating stakeholders, and preparing comms
  • Co-ordinate specific events at NYCW and COP31, including target audience list preparation, invitation management, presentation materials readiness
  • Support preparation for internal events, including leadership off-sites and annual Global Meeting
  • Support event governance processes, including preparing inputs for central reviews and approvals, and ensuring compliance with required steps
  • Draft clear, professional stakeholder communications for event organisers and internal teams, including presentations, updates, reminders, and action summaries
  • Maintain and improve trackers, and shared repositories to ensure accurate information flow and efficient collaboration across global teams

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated aptitude through strong academic performance and/or prior temp work/intern experience
  • Strong organization, project and time management skills; able to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint); experience leveraging GenAI tools to enhance productivity is a plus
  • Experience coordinating events or supporting event management
  • Demonstrated persistence and follow-through, especially when navigating ambiguity
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working in a remote role in a global team
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with others
  • Strong analytical skills (e.g. for business reporting tasks) and structured way of thinking
  • Eager to learn and grow; open to feedback and quick to act on it
  • Interest in sustainability or professional services is a plus
  • English fluency
