To act as a point of contact with the academic HEI (higher education institutions) and internal stakeholders for the co-ordination of review meetings and the management of workplace rotations.
To support delivery of all Student Officer entry programmes by monitoring the progression, operational performance and welfare needs of Student Officers, sharing the information with relevant partners.
Main Responsibilities:
To support with the planning of regular review meetings tri – partite and bi-partite. Including the gathering of information from relevant operational parties to be shared within the student review meeting and support with overall monitoring of the progress and performance of Student Officers.
To foster and develop positive working relationships with participants in the tri-partite and bi – partite processes, highlighting service improvements &ensuring that this process informs the development of the programme.
To work in collaboration with key external and internal stakeholders supporting performance reviews and ensuring the correct level of support is made available to Student Officers.
Highlight any progress, performance or health & wellbeing matters identified during tri-partite and bi-partite progress meetings for support measures to be identified and then to be put in place.
To be a point of contact to arrange pastoral support for Student Officers and following up to ensure any required supportive measures are put in place by the Force and the Higher Education Institute.
To support the relevant Manager in the provision of advice and guidance to workplace coaches in respect of learning and assessment processes.
Maintain accurate records of candidates’ progress across all Student
Officer entry methods, in line with agreed practices.
To review information on the internal system Onefile – and to run reports.
To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.

Person Specification:
Knowledge:
- Level 3 qualification or above, including Maths and English at GCSE pass level.
- Knowledge and understanding of adult learning, coaching and development of learners within the workplace.
- Awareness of safeguarding considerations when working with new employees.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
Experience:
- Experience of interacting with other professional bodies/representatives.
- Experience of dealing with administrative processes.
- Experience of retrieving statistical information.
- Experience of working as part of a team in a learning environment.
Desirable:
- Working with and providing support for Students on initial learning and/or apprenticeship programmes
- Experience of partnership working, particularly with external awarding organisations/bodies
Key Skills:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to deliver customer service within a team environment.
- Ability to enter information accurately using appropriate IT systems.
- Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with external partners, learners and colleagues at all levels of the organisation
- Good IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
