Location: Peterborough / Lincoln – 37 hours a week over 5 working days

You will be expected to attend the office 3 days a week, 1 day a week at college and 1 day working from home, this will require to be based within commuting distance

Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship at Anglian Water

We’re looking to recruit 6 Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentices across various programme areas (Programme Development, Reservoirs, Commercial Operations, Major Infrastructure Delivery) to help Anglian Water deliver better outcomes for the future. As a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills across a wide range of live projects, working alongside experienced commercial teams and delivery partners from day one – while studying towards your degree at Anglia Ruskin University and earning it completely debt-free!

You’ll play a crucial role in managing construction costs and contracts, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You’ll gain exposure to various elements of the commercial end to end process, consisting of collecting cost data from actual delivered projects, estimating the cost of planned investments, Target Cost Setting, Contract Management, Commercial Assurance & Commercial Reporting and Compliance, as well as gaining hands on experience across various teams and projects from governance and contract management to commercial assurance and reporting.

Training and Progression Pathway

You’ll be enrolled in a 5-year BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree course, giving you the academic knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in this rewarding profession. This opportunity is part of a structured two-stage development pathway designed to support your progression within Quantity Surveying:

  • Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Senior Technician (CertHE)

  • Earn a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying- completely debt free!

To be successful as an Apprentice with us you will require:

  • Evidence of at least 112 UCAS Tariff points at Level 3 e.g. A Levels, BTEC National Diploma (or equivalent)  

  • 5 GCSEs including Maths & English Grade A* – C or 9 – 4

  • A strong commitment and willingness to learn

  • Passion for problem solving
