About the role

The Dickson Poon School of Law is seeking to appoint two Lecturers in Law who will contribute to the teaching, research, and other academic and professional activities at The Dickson Poon School of Law in Digital Law.

The successful candidates’ principal teaching contribution will be on our postgraduate programmes (online, on-campus and overseas) in one of the following areas: FinTech, IP & Data Protection or Regulations/Compliance/Ethics. Additionally, post-holders may be asked to contribute to the undergraduate programmes, including our core modules.

The successful candidates are expected to have completed a PhD by the starting date. They should be keen to gain further experience in research led teaching roles with active involvement in the administration and academic life of a thriving law school.

These teaching assignments are a valued part of the role and will contribute to our international education partnerships. We will work with the successful candidates to ensure that any travel arrangements are accessible and inclusive. Candidates are also welcome to discuss any specific needs or circumstances during the recruitment process.

In relation to their research, the successful candidates will have a demonstrably high potential to attract research funding, will be impact-focused and able contribute, if applicable, to the research priorities of the research centres in the School of Law.
The successful candidates will be welcomed as an integral part of our faculty. It is an exciting time to join us as we implement our new vision and strategic direction. This role will contribute to how we shape the future of our vibrant and internationally renowned Law School.
