About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Video Editor, you are a pivotal role in the Kings Digital production workstream, aiding in the production of sector leading multimedia learning materials for delivery across the King’s Digital portfolio of world-class online courses.
Working collaboratively with other media specialists you will be responsible for all aspects of post-production across an allocation of courses, from ingest to final delivery. You will help realise each module’s media requirements advising, where necessary, on the appropriate tools, techniques and functionality available to colleagues when conceptualising media solutions for approval.
You will balance creativity and collaboration with the ability to deliver high quality content on time. In addition to podcasts and video, you will support mixed media projects by collaborating with our team of E-Learning Visual Designers. You will be confident following detailed workflows and demonstrate thorough organisation skills, including cataloguing of all media assets throughout each project, contributing to and updating processes, as required.
You will have creative flair, experience in all aspects of post-production and an active interest in the ways we can innovate our media offering, online deliverables and learning experiences.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), offered on a permanent contract.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area.
2. The ability to consistently deliver high quality work on time and within budget.
3. Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
4. Experience editing educational videos.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Clear understanding of media production processes and the requirements of post-production as part of this.
7. Experience working as part of a collaborative creative team.
8. Experience using industry standard editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, etc.
Desirable criteria
1. Knowledge of task management tools, processes, and methodologies.
2. Experience of content creation and learning design in an educational environment.
3. Knowledge of accessibility legislation, and experience of producing inclusive content.
