Let’s Talk About the Role…

Sizewell C is entering a transformative phase as it matures into an independent organisation. We’re looking for two dynamic Internal Communications Managers to lead the charge in shaping how change is communicated across the business. This is a unique opportunity to influence culture, embed strategic goals, and ensure our people feel informed, engaged, and united.

You’ll be part of a growing internal communications team, working closely with programme leads to deliver clear, creative, and impactful messaging across various change programmes. From new behaviours and values to governance and finance initiatives, your work will help drive understanding and alignment across our multi-site UK workforce.

But Why Join Sizewell C?

Sizewell C is one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, with a mission to deliver clean, sustainable energy for generations to come. As we transition into a standalone organisation, you’ll be joining at a pivotal moment, helping shape not just how we communicate, but how we operate, collaborate, and grow. You’ll work alongside passionate professionals in a culture that values clarity, solidarity, humility, and innovation.

This is more than a job, it’s a chance to be part of a legacy project that will power the future and positively impact communities across the UK.

Now, Why Join as an Internal Communications Manager (Change)?

This isn’t your typical internal comms role. You’ll be at the heart of a major transformation, helping embed new behaviours, values, and strategic goals across a complex, multi-site organisation. You’ll have the autonomy to shape communications strategies, advise senior leaders, and bring creativity to how change is understood and embraced.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love storytelling, and want to make a real impact, this is the role for you.

Let’s Get To the Exciting Stuff, What Will You Be Doing?

  • Developing and delivering tailored internal communications strategies for change programmes.
  • Creating compelling content: emails, newsletters, intranet articles, presentations, and more.
  • Engaging stakeholders through workshops, feedback sessions, and Q&A forums.
  • Measuring impact and continuously improve communication effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with design and video agencies to bring campaigns to life.

And much more!

Could You Be Who We’re Searching For?

The ideal candidate will have…

  • 5+ years’ experience in internal communications, ideally in a commercial or infrastructure setting (e.g. energy, transport, retail, automotive, banking).
  • Proven ability to lead change communications and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Confident, self-driven, and strategic thinker with excellent writing and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing multi-site communications and working with creative tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe).
  • Comfortable navigating complex organisations and engaging diverse audiences.

Bonus Points For…

  • Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g. ADKAR).
  • Experience in infrastructure or energy sectors.
  • Understanding of internal comms platforms like Poppulo.

Additional Information

Join the team at Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain.

It’s not every day you get the opportunity to shape the working culture of what will be one of Europe’s largest construction projects, while also helping Britain to reach its target of Net Zero emissions by 2050. That’s one of the reasons Sizewell C will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before, and you’ll need to be an exceptional professional to reach the high standards this critical infrastructure project demands.

The UK is experiencing a nuclear renaissance and Sizewell C – along with its sister project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset – is powering the change. We’re ramping up at pace as we look ahead to the Financial Investment Decision in early 2025, and the start of construction soon after. With government fully on board and public opinion shifting significantly in favour of nuclear, there’s never been a better time to join our project.

By submitting an application to this role, you acknowledge that you have read and understood Sizewell C’s employee privacy policy and EDF’s employee privacy policy. Just to let you know, EDF will be processing and sharing information about your application on behalf of Sizewell C.
