Anglian Water’s Water Resource Management Plan is updated every five years and outlines how we’ll maintain a sustainable balance between water supply and demand over the next 25 years. We know that our services must cater for an increasing population and support economic growth. We need to factor in climate change and protect our environment.

In this business-critical position you will play a key role in managing Anglian Waters delivery of key projects which includes river restoration, river support, Eel protection, Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) work, sustainable abstraction investigations and monitoring programmes.

In this role you’ll help to meet our project targets by providing first class stakeholder communication, working with such groups as The Environment Agency, Framework Delivery Contractors, Rivers Trusts, NGO groups, Community stakeholders, local councils, and Natural England. You will also work closely and engage with landowners, customers and local rivers groups to develop the projects and ensure a successful outcome.

Working with and managing the Framework Delivery Contractors, you will ensure all projects are delivered to the highest health and safety standards. You will manage all CDM Client responsibilities, carry out site-based health and safety audits and regular site visits. You will report on health and safety performance internally and continually drive improvements on safety across the river restoration framework.

You will manage the delivery of key environmental projects throughout the entire life cycle from concept stage, through design, construction, and completion according to defined obligatory timescales. You will liaise with delivery vehicles and framework delivery contractors to ensure the projects are developed on time, within affordability and in agreement with key stakeholders such as The Environment Agency and Operational Teams.

You will be responsible for key project deliverables including commercial requirements, cost forecasting, risk management, early warning and compensation event management, programme review, governance and change control. You will prepare high quality written work for regulatory submission. Negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and deliver presentations.
